Critical Race Theory?

Like my plagiarism of Daryl Cooper’s tweetstorm in my previous editorial, I’m just going to transcribe what I heard here. As previously mentioned, this Conspiracy Theories substack is mostly musings for my OWN clarity than anyone else’s. I don’t write for you, I write for me. If you see square brackets, that’s me interjecting. Usually for clarity, not for editorializing.

If you do not know who James Lindsay is, you might want to know more.  James is an atheist, or at least a self-proclaimed agnostic, (Everybody is Wrong About God – November, 2016).  That’s only meaningful because he juxtaposes his atheism against some on the right, probably quite religious people, who invited him in to discuss Critical Race Theory with them and how to defend against it. In the process, he became red pilled. A former (well probably still) leftist, he believed that conservatives were horrible people, and he was told so by the media and many former friends.

He’s also a mathematician. So I expect he sees the world as Truth or Consequences. Right and Wrong, black and white. He’s a numbers guy. Two Plus Two ALWAYS equals Four. I think what brought him to the edge of this cliff is that math is being touted by the critical race theorists as racist.

In his defense, I cannot blame him for his atheism; Christians have given Christianity a bad name, in the same way Islamists have given Islam a bad name, for a long time. Since the beginning of Christianity and Islam.  Mostly due to religious dogma and ideology.  But I digress…

In an interview with Dave Rubin on June 20 (2021), in the discussion between the two of them Lindsay says:

“They [The left and the Critical Race Theorists, hereinafter described as CRT’s] claim that people who criticize CRT haven’t read it.  I don’t think THEY’VE read it. Or if they HAVE read it, they’ve read it with kind of these rose-colored glasses or without an understanding of what the specialized language actually means. You read a word like Democracy, and you think it means something: “Oh I know what Democracy means.”  But people don’t understand that in a liberationist paradigm that its not possible to have a true democracy until everybody is equal.  In other words, until communism is achieved.  It’s a loaded word, so people don’t understand that a lot of the words in these things are loaded, and they were intentionally loaded.”

The right however has been a bit facile in its analysis of CRT, so it’s been very good for me to be able to help them understand it at a deeper level.  For them [The Right] they’ve just been saying Socialism.  While that’s some percentage true, 20 something percent, I don’t know how to qualify those things.  It’s not the whole story, by any stretch.  They have been very receptive to trying to understand more about it.  They’ve been very curious about it.  They perceive that something is wrong, but don’t have the vocabulary to comprehend what that is. 

What I perceive from people on the left is they don’t WANT the vocabulary to comprehend it.  It is almost like they want their head (if they’re not activists) in the sand to NOT comprehend what’s going on.  So, they constantly get blindsided.  I watch some of the people on Twitter, the left country club, very smart people I call them. It’s like watching them step on a rake over and over and over again. It whacks them in the face, and they ask: “Why are these rakes here?”  Whack. And they do it again and it hits them in the face. “Everyone should be nicer.”  Whack. It hits them in the face again.

It’s really horrific. I believe there is this very deep desire to learn more and get it accurate among most conservatives, whereas others are: “It’s Socialism, the end.”  On the left there’s just straight either delusional ignorance or lying, which is shocking.”

In Lindsay’s words: so many of those who identify with the ‘Liberal’ label have become largely a country club. Almost a cult.  They want to believe and have a social identity baked into being ‘Left of Center’, where upholding that social identity becomes much more important than the truth.  For classical liberalism, the truth is supposed to be the north star.  It’s disgusting.  The country club liberals have diverged.  It’s a social identity mentality.  It’s virtue signaling.  They don’t want to look bad, without even looking at the reality of the situation surrounding CRT.  It’s anti liberal, its anti-reason!

This is a little intro into Lindsay’s world.  Like Rubin, politically he’s a left of center, classical liberal. But before you bash him for being a LibTard, hear him out.  Also, like Rubin, he’s been Red Pilled. It’s funny, someone asked me the other day what Red Pilled means.  It means you’re Based.  It means you no longer swallow the ideology and lock step mentality of the leftist ideology and that those who call ourselves conservatives are NOT to the right of Joe Stalin and Attila the Hun. The right is not just racist, homophobe, knuckle dragging, gun toting rubes.

So exactly what IS Critical Race Theory?  More on that in the next exciting episode about the Useful Idiots. Just keep this in mind for future: You are not racist. They are.
